- These 128 bytes (not bits) are the resource fork containing information
- the mac uses such as what the icon looks like, what program created the
- document, and even what type of document it is. However when converting
- the files over from the MAC on to PC floppy disks PC exchange is
- supposed to strip the files of the resource fork. The mac saves the
- resource forks of file and other things for the desktop in a seperate
- file on a PC disk.
